That Day Podcast

Kylie Orr and Jac Hawkins came to my home to record the episode of their That Day Podcast, with me as a guest, in late February. The episode drops tomorrow, and I’m feeling lots of things.

Firstly, I can’t really remember what I said. I mean, I know the story. It’s my story. But, am I going to cringe at the sound of my voice, recorded? Is anyone going to dislike my opinion so much, they’ll lash out? It’s a strange feeling. I’m excited and nervous at the same time.

It’s important for me to share this story. That’s why I wrote my memoir. But, writing your story and voicing it, completely unscripted, are two different things. I can’t reread what I said a million times, and edit it to within an inch of its life before everyone else reads it.

But, I completely trust these two wonderful women, Jac and Kylie, and know they take their guests vulnerability responsibly. They shared their own stories first, and put themselves out there, as beacons of hope, change, and acceptance.

My wish is that my episode will resonate and enable someone to see their own situation from a different perspective, and be kinder to themselves.

I will share the link to the podcast when it drops on my socials, Insta @kylieeklund_denman and Facebook Kylie Eklund-Denman Writer. If you want to hear more about my story, follow me here, or on socials.
